For those who dream of glamorous holidays…

There is something magical about retro travel posters. You can’t really find such posters these days, they are all covered in phone numbers, and big discount signs..
Some of the best ones are the old French ones, just like French movies, there is something so appealing about them. I had a look around and these are some of the brightest, most cheerful ones I could find:

Loterie Nationale

I absolutely love vintage lottery posters! Especially Loterie Nationale ones. They have a very cheerful look about them. There is only a feeling of ‘having it!’, no uncertainty or maybes, no doubt.
They also portray a lot of positive principles about money – money growing on trees, being showered in gold coins, making money with ease etc..

Prints are a bit hard to find, so I suggest scouting on Ebay for reproductions, most of the posters which I have found are from Ebay France but many sellers post abroad (search terms: “Loterie Nationale”, or “Loterie Nationale Affiche”).

Attract Good Health

This is actually an early 20th century travel poster, but it exudes such an aura of vitality and health that I couldnt not mention it.

Waking up each morning, looking at this poster and feeling the healthy energy of the sun all around us, would be a wonderful way to start the day.

Some call it being ‘lucky’, I believe that you attract more of what you think of, and that feeling good and being happy makes you attract better things to your life.
So I suppose this phrase is true, those who are happy do get lucky!

A Child’s Play

“Les Maisons d’Enfants de la Cote D’Azur” was a travel poster ad for the French Riviera. The lovely illustrations, its vivid colours and the way in which it depicts happy friends playing together are a perfect combination for children surroundings.

I found it to be a little difficult to source, luckily amazon seem to have a good selection, as well as Barewalls.

Money Does Grow on Trees!

Not too long ago I was looking for a picture of a money tree for my desktop. It took me a quite some time and I didn’t really find anything suitable. Then I thought to myself “surely there would be a poster of a money tree somewhere” , but yet again, I had trouble finding one.

Then I decided I might as well create my own! It took me a while but I have designed a poster and uploaded it to imagekind.com .
